Monica currently works at TeamHealth as a User Experience Designer and resides in Brooklyn, New York.
By incorporating her education in healthcare and experience as a graphic designer and illustrator, she excels at crafting elegant, inclusive, and human-centered digital experiences through research and modern design application.
While being heavily inspired by analog printing and other handmade techniques, a majority of the projects Monica works on result in a digital end product. This has made her fluent in using traditional media such as print, acrylics, oil and watercolor as well as digital tools like Procreate, Illustrator and Photoshop. Some of her favorite subjects include the oceans, anything botanical, complex emotions, figure drawing and food.
Monica’s custom artwork has been showcased at the South Asian Americans for Change gala in Philadelphia, an organization that helps to destigmatize mental health concerns in the South Asian community through art, education and community building.
A random list of dream projects: patterned tote bags, outdoor murals, a cookbook or a children's book, coffee or wine bottle packaging designs. She sees the world as a colorful and highly caffeinated playground—a place where her love for thoughtful storytelling and research-driven mindset fuel every project.
